Privacy Policy
GameplayKing is a set of free gaming calculators. You do not need an account, and we do not ask you for your name, your address or your payment details. This page explains exactly what does get collected when you visit, who else is involved, and how to control it.
The short version
- There are no accounts on this site. We never ask for your name, email or payment details in order to use a calculator.
- The values you type into our calculators are processed in your own browser. They are not sent to our servers and we cannot see them.
- The site is funded by advertising. Google and its ad partners use cookies, which means some data about your visit does leave this site. Section 6 explains this in full.
- We use Google Analytics to count visits in aggregate. We do not sell your personal information.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time — the links are in Section 10.
This summary is for orientation only. The numbered sections below are the policy that actually applies.
1. Who we are
GameplayKing ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at https://gameplayking.com, which provides free gaming calculators, converters and reference guides.
For the purposes of the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation, GameplayKing is the data controller for the limited processing described in this policy. Where Google acts as an independent controller for advertising, that is noted in the relevant section.

2. What we collect
2.1 Information you give us voluntarily
The only way to send us personal information is to contact us on purpose — by emailing us, or by using the contact form, which opens a message in your own email client. If you do, we receive whatever you chose to put in that message: typically your email address, your name if you sign it, and the content of your enquiry. We use it to reply to you and for nothing else.
2.2 Information collected automatically
Like effectively every website, our servers and our service providers record technical information when a page is requested:
- IP address (used for security and coarse, country-level location)
- Browser type and version, operating system and device type
- The page you requested and the page that referred you to it
- Date and time of the request
- Screen size and language preference
2.3 Calculator inputs stay on your device
Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your DPS numbers, sensitivity settings, hardware details and checklist progress are computed locally and, where a tool remembers them between visits, stored in your browser's own local storage. That data is never transmitted to us, and we have no technical means of reading it. Clearing your browser's site data deletes it permanently.
3. What we never collect
To be explicit, we do not collect or ask for:
- Payment card or banking details — nothing on this site is for sale
- Government identifiers, passport or national insurance numbers
- Game account credentials, logins or API tokens
- Precise GPS location
- Special category data such as health, biometrics, religion, ethnicity or political opinions
We also do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising in the sense those terms are used under California law. See Section 10.
5. Advertising and Google AdSense
This site is free to use and is funded by advertising. We use Google AdSense, a third-party advertising service operated by Google LLC, to select and display those ads.
- Google uses cookies and similar identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet.
- Third-party vendors and ad networks, including Google, may also serve ads on this site and set their own cookies. We do not control those cookies and we do not receive the data they collect.
- Where required by law, personalised advertising is used only after you have given consent. If you decline, or if consent is withdrawn, Google serves non-personalised ads instead — these may still use a cookie for frequency capping, aggregated reporting and fraud prevention.
You can opt out of personalised advertising by Google at Google Ads Settings, and you can read how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
To opt out of personalised advertising from many vendors at once, use the industry tools at aboutads.info, the Network Advertising Initiative or Your Online Choices if you are in Europe.
Editorial independence. Advertisers do not influence our calculators, our formulas or our recommendations. Where we name specific hardware or settings, it is because of the underlying maths or published pro-player data, not because someone paid for the placement. If that ever changes on a particular page, it will be disclosed on that page.
6. Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used in aggregate: which calculators are popular, which pages people leave immediately, and whether a new tool found an audience. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes your IP address; IP addresses are anonymised by Google and are not stored in our reports.
We do not use analytics to build profiles of individuals, and we do not attempt to re-identify visitors. You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by declining analytics cookies in the consent message where one is shown.
7. Third parties we share data with
We do not sell or rent your data. The organisations below receive data only because they provide part of the service you are using, and each has its own privacy policy governing what it does with that data:
Google AdSense
Serves the advertisements that fund the site. Uses cookies and device identifiers to limit how often you see the same ad, to measure ad performance, and — only where you have consented — to personalise which ads you see.

Aggregated traffic measurement: which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are from at country level, and which calculators get used. We use it to decide what to build next, not to identify individuals.

Delivers static assets. Your IP address is visible to Google when these files are requested, as it is with any file your browser downloads.

Serves the site and keeps short-lived server access logs used for security, abuse prevention and debugging.

8. Legal bases for processing (UK / EEA)
If you are in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR:
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — for analytics cookies and for personalised advertising. You can withdraw consent at any time, and withdrawing it does not affect processing that already happened.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — for keeping the site secure, preventing abuse and fraud, maintaining server logs, and serving non-personalised advertising that keeps the site free. We have balanced these against your rights and consider the impact minimal.
- Performance of a contract / taking steps at your request (Art. 6(1)(b)) — when you email us and we reply.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) — where we must retain or disclose information to comply with the law.
9. Your privacy rights
9.1 If you are in the UK, EEA or Switzerland
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Have inaccurate data corrected
- Have your data erased ("right to be forgotten")
- Restrict or object to our processing, including profiling
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office
9.2 If you are in California (CCPA / CPRA)
You have the right to:
- Know what categories of personal information we collect and why
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights
We do not sell personal information for money. Because advertising cookies can constitute "sharing" under the CPRA, you can exercise your opt-out by declining personalised advertising in the consent message, by opting out at Google Ads Settings, or by enabling Global Privacy Control in a browser that supports it — we honour GPC signals where they are transmitted.
9.3 How to make a request
Email contact@gameplayking.com with "Privacy request" in the subject line and tell us what you want. We aim to respond within 30 days. Because we do not operate accounts, we usually hold no information that identifies you personally, in which case we will tell you that and explain how to exercise the equivalent right directly with Google.
10. How long we keep data
- Server access logs: up to 90 days
- Google Analytics data: retained according to our Analytics configuration, up to 14 months
- Email correspondence: kept as long as needed to resolve your enquiry, then deleted
- Cookies: each cookie's own lifetime, from the end of your session up to 24 months
- Local storage on your device: until you clear it
11. International transfers
Our service providers, including Google, operate globally, so data may be processed on servers outside your country — including in the United States. Where data leaves the UK or EEA, those transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or the provider's certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
12. Children's privacy
This site is intended for a general audience aged 13 and over (16 and over in regions where that is the minimum age of digital consent). It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email contact@gameplayking.com and we will delete it promptly.
13. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, so traffic between your browser and our servers is encrypted. Because we hold almost no personal data and operate no user accounts, the surface area for a breach affecting you is very small.
That said, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
14. Links to other sites
Our guides link to game publishers, hardware manufacturers, pro-player databases and other external sources. Advertisements also link to third-party sites. We have no control over those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Read their own policies before giving them information.
15. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices or the services we use change. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page always reflects the current version. If a change materially affects how we handle your data, we will make that clear on the site rather than relying on you to re-read this page. Continuing to use the site after a change takes effect means you accept the revised policy.
