Interactive Paragon board planner to allocate points, socket glyphs, and optimize your endgame character build.
Paragon boards unlock at level 50 and provide endgame character progression. Each board contains nodes that grant stat bonuses, and you earn Paragon points through gaining experience beyond level 50. You can earn up to 200 Paragon points, with additional points available through Renown and seasonal rewards.
+5 to a single stat. The most common node type.
+10 to a single stat. Better value than normal nodes.
+15 to a single stat or provides multiple smaller bonuses.
+25 to a stat or powerful unique bonuses. Always worth pathing to.
Center of each board. Socket glyphs here for powerful radius effects.
Connect boards together. Activate to attach a new Paragon board.
Glyphs are special items that socket into the center of Paragon boards. When socketed, glyphs affect all nodes within their radius (typically 3-4 nodes from center). Glyphs can be leveled up through Nightmare Dungeons, increasing their effectiveness and radius. Higher level glyphs provide significantly more power.
You can attach up to 8 Paragon boards total (including the starting board). Each class has access to different boards with unique themes and bonuses. Choose boards that complement your build - for example, a Vulnerable-focused Rogue should prioritize boards with Vulnerable damage and Critical Strike bonuses.
Always calculate the most efficient path to legendary nodes. Sometimes taking a longer route through magic/rare nodes provides better total value than a shorter path through normal nodes. Use the glyph socket as your starting point and work outward.
Choose glyphs that amplify your build's strengths. If you're building Vulnerable damage, socket Exploit glyphs. For Critical Strike builds, use glyphs that boost crit chance or damage. Level glyphs to at least 15 for radius increase - this dramatically expands their effectiveness.
Don't tunnel vision on one stat type. Balance offensive stats (damage, crit, vulnerable) with defensive stats (life, armor, resistances). A dead character does zero DPS. Aim for at least 20-30% of your points in defensive nodes for survivability.
Research which Paragon boards are best for your class and build. Some boards are universally good (offering multiplicative damage or defensive layers), while others are build-specific. Don't randomly attach boards - have a plan for what stats and legendary nodes you're targeting.
Paragon respec is cheap (gold cost only), so don't be afraid to experiment. Try different paths, test various glyphs, and adjust as you acquire better gear. Your optimal Paragon setup will change as your build evolves.
Remember that most damage bonuses in Diablo 4 are additive. If you already have 200% Vulnerable damage from gear, adding 50% more from Paragon is less impactful than adding a new damage multiplier category. Diversify your damage sources for maximum effectiveness.
Key Stats: Strength, Vulnerable Damage, Damage to Close Enemies, Critical Strike, Damage Reduction
Best Glyphs: Exploit (Vulnerable), Wrath (Close Enemies), Territorial (Elites), Might (Berserking)
Barbarians benefit most from Vulnerable and Close Enemy damage as they're always in melee. Prioritize defensive stats since you're tanking hits constantly. Blood Rage glyph is excellent for Overpower builds.
Key Stats: Dexterity, Critical Strike Chance/Damage, Vulnerable Damage, Core Skill Damage
Best Glyphs: Exploit (Vulnerable), Combat (Close), Ambush (Crit Damage), Turf (Shadows)
Rogues are crit-focused, so maximize Critical Strike nodes. Vulnerable damage is crucial for all builds. Melee Rogues want Combat glyph, while ranged builds prefer Sniper. Balance offense with some defensive nodes.
Key Stats: Intelligence, Critical Strike, Vulnerable Damage, Elemental Damage, Damage Reduction
Best Glyphs: Exploit (Vulnerable), Control (CC), Destruction (Crit), Winter/Charged (Element)
Sorcerers are glass cannons - invest heavily in defensive nodes (30%+ of points). Elemental-specific glyphs (Winter for Ice, Charged for Lightning) boost focused builds. Control glyph works well with CC-heavy builds.
Key Stats: Willpower, Critical Strike, Vulnerable Damage, Damage to Close Enemies, Maximum Life
Best Glyphs: Exploit (Vulnerable), Spirit (Werebear), Fang and Claw (Werewolf), Earthen (Earth Skills)
Druids have two main archetypes: Werebear (tanky melee) and Werewolf (fast attacks). Werebear builds want more defensive stats, Werewolf wants crit. Spirit builds focus on Willpower and elemental damage.
Key Stats: Intelligence, Critical Strike, Vulnerable Damage, Minion Damage, Damage Reduction
Best Glyphs: Exploit (Vulnerable), Control (CC), Essence (Bone), Scourge (Minions)
Necromancers vary widely by build. Bone builds want crit and Vulnerable, Blood builds want AoE and sustain, Minion builds stack Scourge glyph and minion damage. All builds benefit from Intelligence and defensive layers.
Key Stats: Dexterity/Willpower, Attack Speed, Critical Strike, Vulnerable Damage, Core Skill Damage
Best Glyphs: Exploit (Vulnerable), Harmony (Spirit Skills), Ferocity (Attack Speed), Ancestral (Core)
Spiritborn benefits from rapid-hit builds, so attack speed scales well. Balance between Dexterity and Willpower based on your Spirit Hall choice. Guardian glyph amplifies Spirit Hall bonuses significantly.
All damage means nothing if you're dead. Even glass cannon builds need 20-30% of points in Life, Armor, or Damage Reduction nodes to survive endgame content.
Glyphs at level 1 provide minimal benefit. Push them to level 15+ for increased radius, and to 21 for maximum power. The difference between a level 1 and level 21 glyph is massive.
Taking 10 normal nodes to reach a legendary isn't always worth it. Calculate if the legendary bonus plus the path nodes provide better value than using those points elsewhere.
Don't just attach any board. Research which boards have legendary nodes and glyphs that synergize with your build. A bad board can waste 40+ points with minimal benefit.
Your primary stat (Strength/Dex/Int/Willpower) scales all damage. Don't skip these nodes. They may seem boring, but main stat provides multiplicative scaling.
Stacking 500% Vulnerable damage has diminishing returns. Diversify into Critical Strike, Close/Distant damage, and other multiplier categories for better overall scaling.
Each season, Paragon boards reset and you may need to re-plan your path. Use this planner to theory-craft your optimal route before the season starts. Some boards and glyphs get rebalanced between seasons, so always check patch notes for changes. Popular streamers and content creators often share optimized Paragon paths for meta builds - use these as starting templates.
