Diablo 4 DPS Calculator
Calculate your true damage output using Diablo 4's multiplicative damage bucket system
⚔️ Select Class
Base Stats
Bucket 1: Main Stat
Multiplier: 2.00x
From Intelligence/Strength/Dexterity/Willpower
Bucket 2: Critical Strike
Multiplier: 2.00x
Bucket 3: Vulnerable
Multiplier: 1.48x
% of time enemies are vulnerable
Bucket 4: Additive Damage
Multiplier: 2.15x
ℹ️ All these bonuses add together before multiplying. This is why spreading stats across buckets is more efficient.
Bucket 5: Multiplicative
Multiplier: 1.25x
e.g., Damage while Berserking
e.g., Overpower damage

Your DPS
Balance stats across all 5 buckets for maximum DPS. Stacking one bucket gives diminishing returns.
Keep vulnerable uptime as high as possible - it's its own bucket and multiplies everything else.
Understanding Damage Buckets
Why Buckets Matter
Diablo 4 uses 5 separate damage "buckets" that multiply together. Stats within the same bucket add, but different buckets multiply.
Total DPS = Weapon DPS × Bucket1 × Bucket2 × Bucket3 × Bucket4 × Bucket5
Example: Additive vs Multiplicative
50% + 50% in Bucket 4
= 100% increase (2x damage)
50% in Bucket 3, 50% in Bucket 4
= 1.5 × 1.5 = 125% increase (2.25x damage)
The 5 Damage Buckets
Intelligence, Strength, Dexterity, Willpower bonuses
Crit Chance × Crit Damage (separate bucket)
Damage to vulnerable enemies (extremely powerful)
All conditional damage bonuses (close, distant, CC, healthy, etc.)
Damage while Berserking, damage for each hit, etc.
Optimization Strategy
- • Aim for 50-70% crit chance before stacking crit damage
- • Vulnerable damage is the most efficient stat - prioritize high uptime
- • Spread additive bonuses across different conditions for versatility
- • Each bucket that goes from 0% to 50% is better than one going from 50% to 100%
- • Use aspects and skills that enable multiplicative bonuses in bucket 5
Example Build DPS
Whirlwind Barb
Chain Lightning Sorc
Twisting Blades Rogue
Note: These are theoretical DPS values. Actual in-game DPS varies based on enemy resistances, player skill, uptime on buffs, and encounter mechanics.
